Radon

Radon Testing Services

Radon is the second biggest cause of lung cancer in the United Kingdom, second only to smoking. It is naturally occurring, and is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas, which can be drawn into buildings through a process called advection. This makes radon an invisible risk across the country.

Under the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17), employers are required to review the potential radon hazard in their premises and take preventative measures to reduce radon levels if necessary.
