PRESSURE CONFORMITY ASSESSMENTS

PRESSURE CONFORMITY ASSESSMENTS

Pressure equipment product conformity services for designers and manufacturers.

The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU and the Pressure Equipment Safety Regulation PE(S)R 2016 provide international and national regulations for pressure equipment product conformity for placing on the market.

As part of the regulations, designers and manufacturers of pressure equipment must take steps to ensure that their products are safe and compliant.

For many products, the manufacturer or an authorised representative (the Responsible Person) can self-certify. However, for products where the self-certification route is not applicable, independent verification of product compliance (and in some cases the quality and manufacturing system) is required.

Bureau Veritas Expertise:

Bureau Veritas is a UKAS-accredited Verification Body for ISO 17020, ISO 17021 and ISO 17065, supporting clients to achieve compliance with the PED and PE(S)R through product conformity verification services.

  • What is a product conformity assessment?

The product conformity verification process may include one or a combination of the following activities for either manufacturing of pressure equipment or pressure assemblies:

    • Design verification
    • Product testing
    • Manufacturing Inspection

    • Technical construction file review
