PROJECT CERTIFICATION FOR PRESTIGIOUS OFFSHORE WIND PROJECT
Arklow Bank Wind Park Phase 2, off the East coast of Ireland at Arklow, Co. Wicklow, is a €2.5 billion offshore wind project from SSE Renewables. Targeting operation in 2028, Arklow Bank Phase 2 will generate up to 800MW of electricity - enough to power almost 850,000 homes with green energy – and offset around 830 million kilos of harmful carbon emissions annually.
The wind park includes up to 62 wind turbines and two offshore substation platforms. And Bureau Veritas is playing its part in the safe delivery of the project through project certification during the design phase, covering the wind turbines, foundations, towers and sub-stations according to international standards.
