EN 9100 SERIES QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR AEROSPACE
The AS/EN 9100 series of standards are the internationally-recognised standards for quality assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing within the aerospace industry.
All three standards in the EN 9100 series are based on ISO 9001 Quality Management, applying the same principles and clauses. The EN 9100 series is applicable to Europe and the AS 9100 series is for North America, with identical requirements.
EN 9100 is applicable to those that design, develop or produce new aerospace materials and parts. EN 9110 is for organisations responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aerospace/defence parts. EN 9120 is for stockists and resellers - setting a framework for quality assurance in stockholding and distribution of aerospace/defence parts.
IATF 16949 AUTOMOTIVE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
IATF 16949 is the global standard for Quality Management Systems in the automotive industry, developed by The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) members. The IATF is a global group of major automotive manufacturers and national trade associations, with the objective of improving the quality of products and solutions for automotive customers worldwide.
It is based on the principles of the global Quality Management System standard ISO 9001, with enhanced specific requirements for the automotive sector.
