Bureau Veritas present at the Subsea Engineering conference
Subsea Engineering Conference : 16th June 2010
Institution of Mechanical Engineers : Birdcage Walk, London
As offshore oil and gas developments move to deeper water and more remote locations Subsea developments become the only option. Subsea engineers must therefore work ever smarter to optimise the integrity of the equipment through good design whilst expanding the boundaries of operational capacity and availability.
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) organised this seminar to examine the operational challenges in such environments, and to share solutions to them. Key Subsea engineering companies and industry figures presented throughout the event which provided an update on the best practice in Subsea engineering design for integrity and operation. Rob Swindell, Technical Director for Bureau Veritas’s Acoustic and Vibration group gave a presention on ''Managing the integrity threat of Subsea pipework fatigue failure''.
