Climate Change Services
Validation and verification services to support greenhouse gas reduction
CLIMATE CHANGE CHALLENGES
Climate change is an issue that concerns every country on the planet.
The Kyoto Protocol of 1997 formalized an international commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In an effort to address climate change in a practical way, the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and the Joint Implementation (JI) procedures were developed by the United Nations Framework on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Besides that, and in order to achieve its own GHG emissions reductions targets, the European Union established the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) and verification.
