Countertop Boilers & Pressure Testing
Otherwise known as coffee boilers, countertop boilers are used commonly by staff, visitors and guests within the catering and hospitality sectors to prepare hot drinks.
Counter boilers of all sizes – and indeed any boiler used in the catering and hospitality sectors which generates steam – are subject to complying with the Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 (SI 2016 No. 1105) and shall be appropriately CE marked. This means they must be inspected every 12 months to ensure they are fit for purpose.
The site owner or site business management, who have a duty of care to the people in and around their premises, hold the responsibility for any type of boiler testing.
