Success again in RoSPA H&S awards

04/05/17

The UK & Ireland business is proud to have taken home not one but two gold accolades at this year’s RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2017 – for the fifth year running.

Bureau Veritas took home the Gold Medal award for the fifth consecutive year and the Fleet Safety Gold award in the prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The UK & Ireland business was recognised for a number of industry-leading initiatives developed in the last 12 months, including a new HSE National Forum to share best practice and the introduction of face-to-face employee consultations to improve communications. Training for engineers and surveyors has also evolved, while improvements have been made to the presentation of HSE documentation.

The Fleet Safety Gold award was presented in recognition of Bureau Veritas UK’s new work risk assessment, which has enhanced the way in which the business can manage employees driving for work.

Kyle Veitch, TQR Director for North West Europe, said: “The internationally recognised RoSPA awards are some of the most sought-after accolades of its kind, so to win not one but two awards for the fifth year running is a major achievement.

“It is a testament to the continued dedication and hard work of our people, across the whole business, and I’d like to thank all teams involved for their efforts.”

The RoSPA Awards scheme, now in its 61st year, is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. Judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
