See Our Live Demos and Service Innovations at Leading Powered Access Event

17/07/18

Bureau Veritas will be exhibiting once again at the annual Nationwide Platforms Working at Height Best Practice Forum, with a focus on live demonstrations and service innovation for the sector.

Join our experts on Thursday 27 September at Heythrop Park Resort in Oxfordshire for the event, which helps to advance the safe operation of powered access, shape best practice and improve safety standards.

Growth of mobile plant

The issue of inspection and compliance for Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) remains a hot topic following continued growth of mobile plant use in the UK and a sharp increase in MEWP upturns in 2013, 2014 and 2015 (Construction News, 2017). IPAF (The International Powered Access Federation) even updated its guidance last year as a result.

To help overcome the inevitable compliance challenges, Bureau Veritas has developed a dedicated Mobile Plant Unit, delivering on-hire inspections to help meet the logistical challenges of meeting statutory obligations for mobile platforms, lifting and crane equipment when hired out to contractors.

Visitors to the event can learn more about this bespoke solution and see how our national network of engineers are using it to support clients across the UK.

Services for the sector

The Bureau Veritas team will also be showcasing our wider MEWP capabilities, sharing our latest engineering inspection service innovations and insights into our training services for the sector.

They will be on hand to discuss industry best practice for achieving compliance and maintaining asset operation, whilst delivering live demonstrations of our unique client portal, Swift, which facilitates complete visibility and up to the minute updates on your engineering inspections.

If that’s not enough, visitors can also discover more about our comprehensive training capabilities, including training for those who have a duty of care to comply with regulations including LOLER, PUWER and PSSR. The Bureau Veritas Learning Academy offers a host of flexible learning opportunities including face to face and virtual classroom learning, where courses are delivered online by a live course tutor for real-time interaction.
