Get up to Standard: New Bureau Veritas Training Courses for ISO 22000/FSSC

Food safety and quality remains a critical issue, with stringent legislation and serious risk of financial or reputational damage for those who fail to meet the required standards. There have been a number of high-profile examples recently where food manufacturers have been exposed for their failures, causing irreparable brand damage in certain cases.

Of course, the key to maintaining standards is to ensure a thorough understanding of relevant legislation including the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) scheme, which is why Bureau Veritas has developed a brand new training course for the food manufacturing and packaging industries.

The new ISO 22000/FSSC Food Manufacturing & Food Packaging Auditor Conversion Course has been developed in-house by our industry-leading training professionals, using their vast experience and expertise operating within the food industry.Our team will cover the requirements of the ISO 22000 Food Safety Standard and supporting technical specifications ISO TS 22002-1 Food Manufacturing and ISO 22002-4 Food Packaging, plus the additional requirements of the FSSC scheme.

In doing so, they will provide delegates with the in-depth understanding they need to audit for ISO 22000, as well as the additional requirements of FSSC, which is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

Who is it suitable for?

The three day course is suitable for new and existing quality or food safety managers, as well as internal auditors who need to improve their understanding on the requirements in order to implement or manage certification within their organisation, to demonstrate competence.

It is also available to current third party auditors who already hold a lead auditor qualification in another standard, such as ISO 9001, and are an active auditor for other food safety or packaging standards such as BRC or IFS. Current third party auditors for ISO 22000 can gain the upgrade qualification for the FSSC scheme by attending day three of the course.

What are the expected outcomes?

After successful completion of the course delegates will be able to understand and implement the requirements of ISO 22000 and supporting technical specifications, as well as gaining knowledge and understanding of the specific FSSC scheme rules.

Pending successful completion of an exam at the end of the course, they will be able to audit food manufacturing and food packaging businesses against the requirements of the standards.

The course will be delivered from 13th – 15th December 2017 at Bureau Veritas on Prescot Street, London E1. Price per delegate is £650 plus VAT, inclusive of printed materials, refreshments, lunch and a printed certificate.
